Arnold Schwarzenegger tank crushes a Mercedes

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back. His comeback sent Hollywood movie fans buzzing online. One of the hottest news relative to the ex-California governor’s return to show business is about his tank.

Yes, Schwarzenegger owns an M47 Patton, the U.S. Army’s and Marine Corps’ primary tank reportedly built between 1951 and 1953.

The action star, whose dream is to become a tank driver, actually drove one while serving in the Austrian Army at the age of 18.

The former politician showed off his 50-ton war vehicle to media people recently. In the video that surfaced on Yahoo! and YouTube, Schwarzenegger’s tank smashed an old Mercedes flat.

Michael Purugganan, when he was an elementary student at Union Science Elementary School in Malate, used to sneak into the National Science Development Board premises, where he would spend hours in a small museum. "It just fascinated me. I just wanted to learn more about these things and what these people were doing there," Purruganan told GMA News Online. "That was really what inspired me to become a scientist," said Purugganan, who is currently the Dean for Science at New York University and a world leader in evolutionary and ecological genomics. With a new museum in the works, more young Filipinos may be inspired to become scientists.
