Burt Reynolds has been hospitalized for catching a flu and is expected to have a full recovery. The latest buzz is that the veteran actor was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for another reason.
Like many others in America, Burt was battling with the contagious virus for several days. He was rushed to the hospital after the influenza symptoms got worse.
The actor’s representative told TMZ that he was moved to the ICU on Friday after his attending physician declared he was “severely dehydrated.”
Burt’s already 76 and many expressed concern following the news that he was brought to the ICU for treatment but, thankfully, the doctors are optimistic he’s going to be alright.
According to the latest report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the flu season that began early January continues to spread across fifty U.S. states.
