UPCAT 2013 has released Results Online

This page is where you will find the results of the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) for incoming freshmen of AY 2013-2014.

Reports from last year said at least 75,000 graduating high school students took the August 4-5 exam. It was considered historic because for the first time ever, takers were asked to write an essay.

Held once a year, the test is part of the admission requirements of UP administered to graduates of Philippine and foreign high schools.

Posting of the UPCAT 2013 results or announcement of the UPCAT passers for Academic Year 2013-2014, according to the university’s official website, will happen “towards the end of February 2013.”

Future Pinoy scientists, a Museum of Natural History

Michael Purugganan, when he was an elementary student at Union Science Elementary School in Malate, used to sneak into the National Science Development Board premises, where he would spend hours in a small museum. "It just fascinated me. I just wanted to learn more about these things and what these people were doing there," Purruganan told GMA News Online. "That was really what inspired me to become a scientist," said Purugganan, who is currently the Dean for Science at New York University and a world leader in evolutionary and ecological genomics.
